School starts this month. I went to check my email to see if I had any emails regarding my teaching schedule and was informed that my email had been disabled. I taught in district on a one year contract last year. Apparently because my contract ended and my new one begins on the first day of school, they disabled my email address as well as my access to the site we use to check classes and grade. So now, with two weeks left until school starts, I have no way of knowing my class sizes, who my students are, or any important information about students. I have to ask my fellow teachers to forward important emails about our first week to my personal email address. How am I supposed to prepare for my year without knowing anything about how to prepare?! I’ve already decided this year will be my last but now I’m thinking of quitting now.
