Okay, so I’ve been in fourteen round 1 interviews, two round 2 interviews, and one superintendent interview since I was told in April I would not be renewed next year. In the superintendent interview, I was essentially told I had the job and then they backtracked (it was really weird and I think they just didn’t have the money and needed a history teacher instead idk).

Anyway, apparently my resume and cover letter look pretty darn good, but I’m not good enough in the interview?? I’m just so frustrated and let down and I don’t know what to do. I’m bubbly, enthusiastic, and I think I fight a good fight. I just. don’t. get it. I also asked for feedback from one job and got, “you are a talented candidate, yet we are going in a different direction” instead.

It looks like I won’t be getting a teaching job for next year (which is honestly fine). What else can I do though? I had put all my eggs in the restaurant industry basket before, but that will probably all shut down again. :*(

    Any suggestions would help!
